On Saturday 25th May 2019, NGFarah supported the Windgap Foundation Gala held at The Star in Pyrmont.
Kelly Davenport of the Windgap Foundation said that “our fundraising goal was to raise much needed funds to support programs and services at Windgap including a Windgap Community Art Workshop and Exhibition Space initiative.
We are aiming to raise over $100,000.”
The Windgap Foundation is a not for profit organisation, started by a group of parents over 65 years ago to provide education to their children with intellectual disabilities.
Today, as in the past, their ‘Person Centred’ approach is at the heart of everything they do and the foundation prides themselves on providing quality programs and support to foster independence, empowerment, learning and development, to enable each individual can live life to the fullest.
The Windgap’s Mission is “To improve the quality of life of people with an intellectual disability by supporting them in reaching their full potential and raising community awareness as to their needs and aspirations”
Peter Goulding, Director, said “the Windgap Gala was a great night for everyone involved. NGFarah are proud to be able to support the great work that the Windgap Foundation achieve every year and it is inspiring to see how impactful this local charity is amongst our community and helping those with intellectual disabilities and their families.”
